Handel's Faramondo has opened at the Gottingen International Handel Festival to great critical acclaim - take a look at the reviews page for a selection of reviews of the show - and I've made it onto the front page of the newspaper! There was a live broadcast made of the opening night which you can listen to here
We're into the final week of rehearsals for Handel's Faramondo at the Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen. Opening night is Saturday 31st May and more details can be found here.
I'm delighted to announce that I have reached the final of the London Handel Competition. The final will take place on March 18th at St. George's Hanover Square at 7pm. Please come along! http://www.london-handel-festival.com/page/hsc/24/
What a great year 2013 was. Operas in Iford, Aix en Provence, Innsbruck, Antwerp, Strasbourg, Leeds, and Luxembourg, and concerts in Malta, Spain, Cadogan Hall, Norwich Cathedral, St. Paul's Cathedral and then to finish it all off my Wigmore Hall debut with The King's Consort in December. Looking forward to 2014 which sees my first bit of work with ENO, as well as a role at the Gottingen Festival, plus concerts in London and Norwich.
It's been wonderful to finally perform Mendonça's "The House Taken Over" to three great audiences in Antwerp. Next week we perform it again in Strasbourg, and in the mean time I am up in Leeds with Opera North working on Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream"
After a wonderful 3 weeks at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, I'm now in Innsbruck and rehearsals are going well for Dido and Aeneas, and Venus and Adonis. Can't wait for the outdoor performances on 14th, 17th and 19th August.
